Playing in the wind

Jul 29, 2016

Most golfers will start to dust off the clubs at the first sign of spring. What you should know that most spring golf is played in wind gusts sometimes up to 30 mph. One way to navigate yourself around the course is to keep it low under the wind. First, start buy taking an extra club or two. If you hit a 7 iron then drop down to the 6 or 5 iron. Second, play the ball off your back foot. This will help de-loft the club to hit it lower. Third, finish your swing a little lower than normal, this will flatten out the shot and keep it low.
